Format
At Citiskate Victoria lessons are divided
into two groups with two instructors: absolute beginners and
post-beginners.
We also do more advanced sessions (L3 & L4) every couple of months
LEVEL 1
As an absolute beginner you will learn correct skate set-up and falling(!), how to get up (very useful!), balance and basic striding (skating), stopping which includes heel braking and also the A-frame stop. Citiskate instructors are particularly dedicated to building the confidence of skaters in this group.
MAY, JUNE 2008
LEVEL 2
Post-beginners As above plus moves onto intermediate level stopping, turning, transitions, better and more graceful gliding as well as some beginners level tricks, some speed moves...and some backwards.
MAY, JUNE 2008
LEVEL 3
Lower-intermediate skaters; as above plus skaters can also expect to cover faster striding and stopping techniques such as intermediate speed skating and the T-stop. Backward skating is comprehensively explained. Intermediate level tricks are also covered.
JUNE 2008
LEVEL 4
Upper-intermediate skaters usually have considerable skating experience and/or some ski or ice skating related knowledge. Note that this group covers intermediate and above skills and caters for participants wishing to excel their skating!
